heroes season 2 finally picks up

Wow. That’s what I said after watching the last episode to me self. That has to be the best Heroes episode yet. This is why I loved heroes for the first three episodes of season 1. After all the crappy episodes of season 2 they finally built upto something big. Although ‘Adam’ was predictable ( Great great great casting btw…that guy deserves to shine! ) the whole story oozes of class, finally the writer’s got it right, but this might be short lived due to the ‘Writer’s Strike’ making them conclude the season in December. Nooo!

If you haven’t heard about the ‘Writer’s Strike’ here’s the gory details. The writer’s of all the great TV shows are NOT getting enough pay while the networks and the actor’s are getting plentiful. The writer’s deserve all that since without their sometimes cheesy lines and occasional great writing we wouldn’t get the quality programming we crave. The consequences of them going on strike are shows getting delayed (that means no LOST or 24 in Feb and Jan respectively and all your favorite shows getting cancelled or delayed. That’s so going to suck. Sniff). Give the writer’s what they deserve. I want more Heroes!!!! ( I can’t believe I’m saying that, but they proved me wrong, so kudos to them. )

Heavenly Sword Review

I’ll make this short and sweet while making some comparisons with GOD OF WAR. This is due to the fighting style and all the other knick knacks you encounter while playing the game, making it just a female version of GOW in my opinion.

PRO’s

• Best in game graphics in a game yet.
• The cinematic are amazing and the voice acting excellent.
• The dialogue is top notch as well.
• Game play on normal is a bit harder than GOW, God Mode (Yes I’m serious) from what I saw but once you get the hang of it becomes easier. This is due to the fact the last boss fight was pretty much satisfying than the last boss fight in GOW (Zeus is totally getting annihilated by Bohan!).
• Aftertouch is really fun when you get the hang of it. That is using the PS3 Sixaxis to guide arrows and such in slow motion, which is pretty cool.

CON’s

• Not much variety in combo’s.
• The boss fights can get repetitive, since it’s just evade and slash most of the time.
• The game is so short, finished it in like 7 hours (mostly due to the fact I got my ass kicked by Bohan).
• The story sucks arse!
• Hell mode doesn’t seem to be much different than normal mode except that the boss fights are harder.

Final Impressions

I enjoyed the game and will definitely finish it in Hell Mode to get all the stuff unlocked. Although the game is gorgeous and the action fun it can get repetitive but it is pretty challenging and I luuuurve a good challenge. It’s not worth a buy in my opinion, better as a rent. (Not short and sweet eh?Aah well…When I start I can’t stop. *shrug*)
